It was so easy to learn from RC at Photo Finish Farm! It was even easy to take hold of the grab strap on the saddle when my balance was unsettled, and to hear that it was OK to use my arms to hold myself in the saddle when my lower body tension prevented the ease of following the horse's movement. I am going to add these straps to my english saddles -- farewell to pride! And I do want a nice dressage saddle now. One that helps my legs be under me and helps position my hips in a neutral position with ease. I not only rode GS's horse, but rode in her saddle as well -- a Bates Isabell 16.5" dressage saddle. EBay, here I come!
